WHITE TEA
Silver Needle White Tea, also known as Bai Hao Yinzhen, is among the most revered of Chinese teas, produced in the mountains of Fujian Province in China.
Only the finest young plump tea buds of the Camellia sinensis plant are used to produce this tea. The buds are covered in visible hairs (called bai hao or pekoe in Chinese), which are a unique characteristic of Silver Needle White Tea. The shape is very uniform, with a needle-like appearance.
Silver Needle is commonly included among China's famous teas and is packed with antioxidants, which makes it an incredibly healthy tea.
The dedication to perfection in production is evident in the cup. The pale yellow infusion has a rich, nectar-like body. It yields a light, honeysuckle aroma with a delicate sweetness and smooth, clean finish. This tea is noted for its delicious taste and delicate floral sweetness. The flavour is light and refreshing with a wonderful hint of peach yielding a fresh, lingering finish.
This is one of our favourites here at Scottish Tea House.
