INDIAN BLACK TEA

A superb low-grown tea produced on the south side of the Brahmaputra River near the remote region of Nagaland, India. TGFOP Assam is a premium tea with a traditional leaf style. As rainfall is lower in this area, the tea bushes grow more slowly yielding outstanding crops that have all
the flavour and strength you would expect from top Assam tea estate. The Assam valley is dominated by the Brahmaputra River – a large slowly meandering river which over millennia of fall flooding has deposited a rich loam over the valley. The soil is deep and sandy, and the region suffers a very hot and steamy monsoon season, but equally important a relatively dry and cool winter. Perfect conditions for the Assam tea bush.

This well-made orthodox loose leaf tea provides a wonderful, bright, rich, malty flavourful cup, velvety and rich with a plum-like smooth, balanced finish.

It adds the perfect accompaniment to breakfast, and is a great pick-me-up at any time of day. Drink with or without milk or sugar.
