The Wuyi mountains are one of the most spectacularly beautiful areas of south-eastern China and are well known for having an abundance of dense forests, waterfalls, flora and fauna. They are also the home of our lovely White Monkey Paw Green Tea.

Early in the morning within the first two weeks of the season’s tea growth, around late March time, the top two leaves and downy bud are carefully plucked from the bushes. The tea leaves are gently panned, rolled to develop flavour and dried. The end result is an exquisite hand made green tea.

This tea gained its name as the dry leaf appearance is said to resemble a monkey paw. Whilst it is technically a green tea, the infused liquor and visual appearance is so delicate it could almost be thought of as a white tea.
